The Prophet (né le 5 novembre 1968 ; en fait Dov J. Elkabas ) est un DJ et producteur de musique hollandais d' origine juive. Il est également connu sous le nom de The Masochist . Avec DJ Dano, Buzz Fuzz et DJ Gizmo , il forme The Dreamteam. Dov J. Elkabas est le propriétaire du label Scantraxx et joue principalement de la techno hardstyle et hardcore .

Carrière

Dov Elkabas a commencé le DJ en 1983 après avoir assisté à une soirée dans la discothèque Het Nijlpaardenhuis (littéralement: la maison de l'hippopotame ). Il a acheté ses propres platines et a commencé à les expérimenter. Il raccrocha à certains festivals sous le nom d' Akhenaton .

En 1991, il fonde le groupe gabber /hardcore techno The Dreamteam avec DJ Dano, Buzz Fuzz et Gizmo . Plus tard, il a commencé à s'orienter davantage vers la direction du hardstyle et d'autres styles. Elkabas a joué sous ses divers pseudonymes dans de nombreuses grandes raves et festivals aux Pays-Bas et en Europe, notamment Thunderdome , Q-Base , Mystery Land , Decibel Outdoor, Nightmare Outdoor, Defqon.1 , Nature One et Qlimax .
